where does your marketing come from follow-up
Right after I posted my earlier post, I received a call from a friend who was chuckling, and offered the observation that some brands believe their marketing comes from ‘osmosis’… “We really haven’t done much marketing in the past few years, due to budget cuts, due to a VC buyout of our company, but we do expect the business to grow this year. We believe in telepathy, osmosis, and the power of positive thinking to make it happen!” This is a new one on me, though it comes very close to the “wish” strategy – - you remember the line from the Blues Brothers about the “wish sandwich” – - two slices of bread and you wish you had some meat!
