not exactly a book report

This is not exactly a book report. My 21 year-old son was recently assaulted and is suffering from head trauma (showing miraculous signs of recovery), and along the way a friend gave me Jill Bolte Taylor’s book, My Stroke of Insight. (http://www.amazon.com/My-Stroke-Insight-Scientists-Personal/dp/0452295548/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1245162989&sr=8-1)

Well, ok but what does this have to do with doing better marketing?
I think it has a whole lot to do with marketing… and business in general.

Here are some of the healing prescriptions that she offers:
- I had to define my priorities for what I wanted to get back the most and not waste my energy on other things
- For a successful recovery, it was important that we focus on my ability, not my disability
- I needed people to celebrate the triumphs I made every day because my successes inspired me
- I needed to welcome support, love, and help from others
- My successful recovery was completely dependent on my ability to break every task down into smaller and simpler steps of action
- I needed my visitors to bring me their positive energy
Now, to me this sounds like a great way to build a marketing plan, run a marketing department and grow a business!

Or am I just crazy and spending too much time in my limbic region?
